Even as we remain months away from the launch of the Pixel 4a, the first renders of the Pixel 5 have already started to emerge on the web.
In what could be the first look at the Google Pixel 5, YouTuber Jon Prosser on his channel has revealed the first alleged render of the upcoming Google Pixel device. However, he also claimed in his YouTube video that this is one of three prototype renders, thereby hinting that there is a good possibility the design may end up not being taken by Google for its next flagship Pixel phone.
In the video, he also claims the other two prototypes feature square camera set-ups much like the current Pixels. As such, the chances of this new design being adopted by Google for the phone are quite high.
This is because the leaked render has a unique-looking design, which shows the phone keeping the same texture finished on both the frames and the rear glass. The new render also shows three lenses on the Pixel 5 render, with one of them expected to be an ultrawide angle camera.
This would also fix one of the biggest criticisms of Google Pixel 4. The phone was launched without an ultrawide camera. This was of little help to the Pixel 4, as most of its competitors came with the same.
Apart from this, there is little information about the Pixel 5’s design or its features. However, that’s not the case with the Pixel 4a which has seen a number of leaks reveal the specs and design of the device.
Leaks in the past have claimed there will be multiple Pixel 4a devices, with one of them coming powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset.
The second in the list, Redfin, has previously been claimed to feature a slightly more powerful, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765. Apart from just affording the phone more power, it will also make the device 5G ready as the chipset comes with a built-in 5G modem.
The last phone in the list is bramble which again is said to feature the Snapdragon 765. However, it isn’t entirely clear as to how it would differ from Sunfish in other ways.
Previously, renders of the Pixel 4a have also appeared on the web showing a device with a flat display with the presence of no curves. The leak claimed that the display could be around 5.7 or 5.8-inches diagonally thereby not being a major upgrade in size over its predecessor. However, the renders also showed that phone’s display could be surrounded by much thinner bezels as compared to the 3a launched a year ago.
